Acupuncture & Herbal Therapies Professional Herbalist
Training Program


Acupuncture & Herbal Therapies now offers one of the few herbal training programs in the US with a supervised, hands-on herbal intern clinic. This program is designed to prepare students for professional membership in the American Herbalists Guild, the only professional herbalist organization in the US. Students also have access to an on-site Chinese and western herbal pharmacy with more than 300 crude herbs and 100 patent formulas.

Curriculum will cover many exciting topics such as:

  • Western and Chinese Materia Medica
  • Traditional Chinese Herbal Theories: Five Element and Eight Principal
  • Tongue and Pulse Evaluation
  • Nutrition, Food Therapy, Vitamin and Mineral Supplementation
  • Formulating with Western and Chinese Herbs
  • Barefoot Doctor Techniques: Moxibustion, Qigong, and Auricular Therapy
  • Herb-Drug Interactions
  • Herb Walks
  • Plant Identification and Safety
  • Native Florida Herbs
  • Setting up an Herbal Practice
  • Creating Topical Herbal Remedies: Poultices, Salves, Oils and Lotions
  • Creating Tinctures, Teas, Decoctions
  • Laws Regarding Labeling and Dispensing
  • Ethics and Herbalism
  • Legal Aspects of Practicing Herbalism
This series of seminars prepares students to see clients; design herbal formulas; create herbal product lines; consult with chiropractors, MDs and acupuncturists; help friends and family with lifelong wellness; and work with established herbal companies. Enjoy endless opportunities in this rapidly growing industry!

Classes are one weekend a month and offered on an ongoing basis.

Cost: $100-$230 depending on the seminar and duration
